MY WEST VANCOUVER A photo contest The West Vancouver Memorial Library First Annual "My West Vancouver" photo contest! You are invited to submit your photos of West Vancouver that capture the spirit and beauty of the place we live and love. With out of town athletes, Olympics spectators and international media passing through, we thought it would be wonderful to show off to the world our West Vancouver. Photographs will be hung in an exhibition on the walls of the Gallery at the Library from January through to February 19, 2010. There will be prizes for Best Photograph in three categories (Kids, Youth, and Adult) Here is how it works: Grab your camera and start exploring the neighbourhood Take pictures of the scenes, landmarks, people and activities that really capture the essence of West Vancouver for you. (Submissions should be photographs taken during the past year) Select your absolute favourite. Print that photograph in an 8x10 or 5x7 format. Pick up the contest information package from the Registration Desk at the Library. Carefully read the contest rules Fill out the entry form Drop off your photo and entry form to the Library Administration Department.(Remember to gently print your name and telephone number on the back of the photo). The Library will be accepting the photographs and entry forms between November 1 and December 18, 2009. The DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION is 3:00pm Friday December 18, 2009. Photographs will be displayed January 5 through February 19, 2010. Visitors and library patrons alike will have a chance to vote for their favourite photograph between January 4, 2010 and January 30, 2010. Winners will receive prizes at a special Library reception on Friday February 5, 2010 at 6:30 pm.
