  Welsh Hall  
   
 

The Library's meeting rooms are available for rent by individuals, community groups and commercial enterprises for meetings, seminars, discussion groups, small conferences and other events. Free wireless internet is available throughout the library, including the meeting rooms.

The new Welsh Hall will accommodate up to approximately 120 people and is equipped with built-in Blu-ray projector, sound system, assisted listening system for the hearing impaired, and kitchenette. The Welsh Hall is designed to also be used as two meeting spaces - Welsh Hall East and Welsh Hall West - each of which will accomodate 60 people.

 
   
  Elizabeth Musto Room  
   
 

The Elizabeth Musto Room, located on the main floor, will accommodate up to 20 people.

 
   
  Meeting Room Bookings and Online Payment  
   
  Use our convenient online reservation system to make a room booking request. Once you agree to our Meeting Room Policy, you can view our meeting room calendars to check availability and submit your request. We will get back to you within 2 days of your request. Once your booking has been confirmed, you can pay online. Request a Room

  Rates  
   
 

All rates are hourly and include HST. Minimum booking is 2 hours. A non-refundable deposit will be due within 48 hours of making a booking. An insurance fee of $1.50 ($2.50 for the full Welsh Hall)will be added to the total rental charge.

Rate Categories

Business: Individuals and businesses whose intent is to host a meeting, sell a product or service, attract clients or conduct other forms of business.

Private: Individuals, groups and organizations whose activities are private in nature and are not receiving or expecting financial compensation for any product or service.

Non-Profit: Community groups and organizations that are a registered society or charity and do not have a profit-making mandate. Proof of non-profit status must be shown to the Event Coordinator handling the booking.

  • Bookings can be made up to 6 months in advance.
  • Payment is required 2 weeks in advance.
  • Ask about arrangements for on-going weekly/monthly meetings.

  Cancellations  
   
  Cancellations must be made one week prior to an event booking. After this time no refund will be available.  
   
  Food, Beverage and Catering  
   
 

Refreshments are allowed in all meeting rooms.

Caffination, the Library's cafe, serves freshly brewed coffees, teas, specialty coffee drinks and other refreshments. Daily baked goods, desserts, and sandwiches are also available. If you choose to bring in your own refreshments, a food and beverage fee of $20.00 will be added to your booking. A kitchen is available for use if you are booking the entire Welsh Hall, or the Welsh Hall East. A coffee machine and electric kettle can be provided if you are using the Elizabeth Musto Room or the Welsh Hall West.

Alcoholic beverages and candles are not allowed.

 
   
  Regulations  
   
 

  • All persons using the meeting room are subject to the general rules and regulations of the Library.
  • All persons booking meeting rooms must accept the conditions of the Library's Meeting Room Policy.
  • Smoking is not permitted on Library premises.
  • All exits must be kept clear.
  • Rooms must not exceed posted seating capacities.
  • The room must be left clean and tidy.
  • A directional sign may be posted at the time of the meeting.
  • Any other signs must be submitted in advance to the Registration Desk for evaluation.
  • Advertising for an event is the sponsoring group's responsibility.
  • The Library may only be mentioned as the location.
  • The Director of Library Services or designate and Library Board reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking.
